Anniversary Poll

So, it's Otis and my wedding anniversary this weekend, and we're having a difficult time deciding where to go for dinner. So, my loyal readers... where should we go?

Bresca

I'm taking my dad to Evangeline this weekend if they'll have me. It is father's day isn't it? I think of Bresca as the romantic-it's-our-anniversary place, with all of its amazing deserts. Haven't been there in over a year though.

It is father's day! Evangeline is a great father's day place. It would be great for dinner too. Hmmm. We haven't been there in ages.

Desserts are not my thing, really. For Otis it's another story though! He would probably eat dessert every day. Anyway, we went to Bresca last year, so someplace different this year I think.

I love Evangeline's cheese course options. Then we thought maybe Hugo's? Miyake is up there on the list as well.

Sigh. So hard to decide.

Solo Bistro in Bath

Chef Crosby is amazing--and becoming known nationally. Live jazz on Friday nights. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Emilitsa. Terrific affordabel unusual wine list. Superb fresh modenr greek Cuisine. Ask for the table in the window

We went to Emilitsia recently and enjoyed it a lot, but I don't know if it fits the anniversary vibe. Have you been to Lydia Shire's place, Blue Sky. I want you to go so you can tell me whether I should. :)

Wow. The menu at Blue Sky looks great. I'm a little leery about driving a long way for dinner in general but I might have to make an exception. Or at least check out their brunch sometime. Thanks.

I do want to try Emilitsa too. I love Greek food.

About me

I live in Portland, Maine, where my husband Otis and I eat lots of delicious food.

The blog is called Accidental Vegetables because although of course the farmers put enormous amounts of thought into their harvests, for us the bounty that arrives appears accidental.
